Saint John of God Hospitaller Services, Mental Health and Psychosocial Department’s goal through the Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) and Workplace Mental Health Programmes (WPMHP) is to contribute to the employee’s good work and life balance. Employees with chronic stress are three times more likely to suffer from depression. Depression is known to lead to decreased productivity, low morale, and conflict in the work environment.

We help employers respond immediately and appropriately when employees experience mental health problems and effectively manage performance and productivity issues. It is founded on the belief that focusing on solutions around mental health issues in the workplace will benefit employers and employees alike.

Saint John of God facilitates Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) or Workplace Mental Health Programmes for organisations to:
  • Provide employees and organisations with literacy and basic skills in identifying and managing common psychological problems in modern organisations for example, stress and burnout, anxiety and depression as well as substance and non-substance addictions.
  • Increase self-awareness on issues at work that impact the quality of mental health and productivity.
  • Promote positive ways of resolving the effects of mental health problems on thoughts and emotions, and behaviour.
  • Promote and motivate positive help-seeking behavior among employees and their families.
